Earls Court Exhibition Centre, Monday 14th – Wednesday 16th April 2008
Holy
Moses! Pen Press Publishing’s attendance at the London Book
Fair proved to be hugely lucrative. Rights for the Watsons by Jane
Austen were sold to India, the Chinese expressed interest in Olympic
Mind Games by Robert Ronsson, Malaysia wanted Virginia Aitkin’s
trilogy, Germany desired What do I have to do to get a book published,
Australia and Bulgaria were clambering for Golgotha Falls by George
Udenkwo and the Yanks couldn’t keep away from Fred & Ginger
by Hannah Hyam, be Gad!
Prospective authors fought for an audience with Lynn Ashman, freelance editors forced themselves upon us like ladies-of-the-night when the navy is in town and punch-ups between printing firms erupted as they tried hard to do deals with us.
A good time was had by the in-house team and authors alike.
Due to the success this year we are actively looking at getting a much bigger stall for next year’s event. |
